Right now, billions of New York’s Medicaid dollars are going to for-profit insurance company middlemen instead of being invested in the home care services New Yorkers depend on. That means less funding for the care seniors and people with disabilities need \u2014 and lower wages for the workers who provide it.<\/p>\n

The Home Care Savings & Reinvestment Act (A2018A\/S2332A)<\/strong> would cut out these insurance middlemen and reinvest an estimated $3.5 billion<\/strong> every year directly into home care \u2014 supporting fair wages, bettering worker recruitment, and higher quality care for New Yorkers.<\/p>\n
